Heart Mountain: Poems and Stories with Jodi Hottel

Jodi Hottel is a sansei, meaning a third generation Japanese American. During the World War II, her mother’s family was incarcerated at Heart Mountain Relocation Center, Wyoming. She will share stories about her mother’s experience and poems from her book about the incarceration, Heart Mountain, which won the 2012 Blue Light Press Poetry Prize.
This reading is inspired by our current exhibition, Manzanar: The Wartime Photographs of Ansel Adams.
