You are invited to come and make mochi the traditional Japanese way
This is an educational, cultural and fun community event. There will be a pre-order form available soon, so that you can purchase up to 3 lbs. of mochi (Plain or with an), as well as a Kasane for New Year’s. We will purchase and prepare all the rice for mochi, but please come and enjoy making the mochi. You can sign up for a shift and be part of the process. Cooking starts early, but processing and forming starts around 8 am. We hope to be finished with the making of mochi around 2 to 3 pm.
Orders can be picked up after 2 pm until around 4 pm. If that is inconvenient, we can arrange pickup time on Sunday.
